Small acorns…

Having opened a real ale shop at Eyam Hall Courtyard in 2015, which showcased beer from every brewery we could find in a 25 mile radius, one of our suppliers contacted us to say they were upscaling and would we want their 200 litre brew kit. Well, the answer was ‘yes’ and the brewery journey began.

We started by brewing enough beer to supply our own shop, which rapidly became an Eyam Brewery shop due to customer demand. Although we continued to source from the wider local brewing community, 8 out of 10 sales were our own beer.

This continued until late 2016 when local pubs and bottle stockists took note of what we were doing and asked us if we could supply them too. We bought a couple of extra fermenters to try and satisfy the demand created, but couldn’t keep up. In late 2019 the decision was made to find larger premises and upscale the brewing kit.
